Why Sana 4 Raleigh?

The Story of
Sana Siddiqui
I’ve lived in Raleigh for over 25 years. I came here with my family, grew up in this city, and built my life here.

Raleigh is home. It’s where I studied at NC State, built my career, started a small business, and became deeply involved in the community. Over the years, I’ve seen how city decisions shape everyday life, in whether small businesses can stay open, whether families can afford to stay, and whether people feel heard in the process.

Professionally, I’ve worked across engineering, product, and marketing, and later founded and grew a consumer packaged goods company. I also created Get 2 Know Raleigh, a platform focused on highlighting local businesses and bringing people together through free community events across the city.

I currently serve on several advisory boards, including the City of Raleigh’s Environmental Advisory Board and the Hispanic & Immigrant Affairs Board, now part of the Human Relations Commission. These roles have given me a deeper understanding of how our city works, and where it often falls short for everyday residents.

I’ve continued learning through programs like Raleigh Neighborhood College and the Citizen Leadership Academy, because I believe good leadership starts with listening, learning, and showing up consistently.
I’m running for Raleigh City Council At-Large because I believe our city needs leaders grounded in real experience, leaders who understand the impact of decisions beyond the meeting room.

I’m here to represent the everyday Raleigh, and the people who make this city what it is.
